{"id":320,"date":"2011-05-24T20:08:19","date_gmt":"2011-05-25T01:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jen.jllocke.com\/blog\/?p=320"},"modified":"2011-05-24T20:08:19","modified_gmt":"2011-05-25T01:08:19","slug":"new-to-us-kitty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jen.jllocke.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/new-to-us-kitty\/","title":{"rendered":"New (to us) kitty!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.jen.jllocke.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/IMG_1765.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-322\" title=\"Ninja\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.jen.jllocke.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/IMG_1765-e1306285668890-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Since our old sweetie, Isaac, passed on recently, there has been an empty space in the house. \u00a0Being a regular <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petsmart.com\/\">PetSmart<\/a> shopper, I often stop to look at the cats they have available for adoption. \u00a0Recently I saw this adorable orange tabby (yes, I have a soft spot for them) and asked to meet him. \u00a0He was such a sweetheart &#8211; he rolled around wanting a tummy rub and he wanted me to scratch his chin&#8230; \u00a0Needless to say, I fell in love. \u00a0So I filled out an application with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myschs.com\/\">Sheboygan County Humane Society<\/a>, the organization that works with this PetSmart to adopt out kitties. \u00a0In just a couple days, I heard the good news that we were approved. \u00a0I was expecting that because we adopted our most recent cat the very same way from the very same organization.<\/p>\n<p>We brought home Ninja on Sunday and he&#8217;s already getting very comfortable. \u00a0He&#8217;s an explorer and I don&#8217;t think there&#8217;s an area of the house he hasn&#8217;t sniffed! \u00a0Persia, our other cat, is still getting used to him, but Ozzy (the dog) is making friends with Ninja already.<\/p>\n<p>[dmalbum path=&#8221;\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/dm-albums\/Ninja\/&#8221;\/]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since our old sweetie, Isaac, passed on recently, there has been an empty space in the house. \u00a0Being a regular PetSmart shopper, I often stop to look at the cats they have available for adoption. \u00a0Recently I saw this adorable orange tabby (yes, I have a soft spot for them) and asked to meet him.
